Social Skills Training with Dogs

Do you suspect or does your child have an Autism Spectrum Disorder? Are you interested in social skills training with dogs to help your child?

The University of California at Irvine under Dr. Sabrina Schuck is conducting a new study for children who have or may have ASD. In this study, children will have the opportunity to engage in an interactive environment, which will promote their social skills, self-esteem, and self‐regulation skills. This study involves weekly social skills training sessions with experienced and certified therapy dogs. If you are interested, you and your child may be eligible to participate.

The first study session will be this Thursday July 14th. Participants will meet every Thursday for 6 weeks, ending on August 18th.

  • Children between the ages of 7 and 9 who have or may have ASD
  • 6 Social Skills Training sessions and 6 Behavioral Parent Training sessions are available at no cost to you
